Our Studio
Our studio has been providing dance education for the Victoria dance community for over 10 years.
Currently, we teach group and private dance lessons for adults and kids. We actively promote ballroom and Latin social dances in partnership with Victoria Ballroom Dance Society. Through this partnership, we introduce the Victoria public to such dances as Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, and Jive. We also enjoy teaching such dances as West Coast Swing, Hustle, Merengue, and American-style ballroom and Latin dances.
Our method of teaching dance is based on extensive theoretical knowledge of pedagogics, dance sport and physical development. We inspire our students to dream big and never be shy of trying something new, challenging but always fun and exciting.
Owner & Instructor
Victor Golubkov is a Russian-trained dancer with over 30 years of international ballroom dance and performance experience.
Victor's best results were as follows: Winner of the Open Malaysia Championship, World Championship semifinalist in 10 dances, the prize-winner of the Open Championship in Italy in International Standard and in Latin American dance.
Victor's experience also includes over 15 years of intensive teaching, mentorship, and dance management. Victor's other dance and teaching accomplishments include a Certified adjudicator for ballroom and Latin dancesport competitions, Masters' degree in Pedagogics.
In August 2012 Victor Golubkov moved to Victoria BC and started working for Arthur Murray Victoria BC. In June 2014 he decided to continue his journey in ballroom dancing and opened his own dance school.
Since then his students have shown great results in competitions in Canada, USA and around the world.
As a professional teacher and mentor of dancers Victor believes that dedication to the art of ballroom and latin dance and hard work will help his students to achieve goals beyond their imagination.
